Quoted from the official website of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance, Monday (10/8/2020), stamp duty is a tax on documents owed from the time the document is signed by interested parties, or submitted to other parties if the document is only made by one party.

In another sense, stamp duty is a tax imposed on documents of a civil nature and documents to be used as evidence in court.
